How to use the new Service Desk (Basics)
Logging in to the Service Desk
- Using any web browser navigate to https://servicedesk.laneshealth.com
- This is the log in splash page. Here you can log in to use the service desk.
- Click Login in the top right corner.
- Click the button at the bottom – “G R Lane Health Employees – Click Here.
- Below is the Service Desk homepage that you will see every time once you have logged in.
This page will appear slightly different depending on your job title and department.

Using the Service Desk
Report an issue or Request a service?
Report an issue
If something is broken or not working as it is supposed to, you will Report an issue.
In the Report an issue ticket you can enter required information into the fields as well as attach files and associate assets. For example, your local printer, laptop or workstation.
If there are any related solution articles that match with the contents of your ticket subject, these will appear on the right-hand side of the page.

Request a service
If you require something new, changed or a service from IT such as an account created for a system, you will Request a Service.
The initial Service Catalog page may seem overwhelming as it is displaying all Service Items.
On the left side of the page all Service Items are broken down into categories and makes the choosing of your request much easier.
Simply choose your request, follow the prompts to fill in the fields within the request and click submit.
